Boeing supports airlines impacted by FAA SNOWTAMs Safety Alert

Boeing is offering its global Jeppesen SNOWTAMs database free of charge to airlines unable to receive international SNOWTAMs from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to help assure flight safety in winter weather conditions.

Effective immediately, a Lite version of the Jeppesen NOTAM Management Tool is available with settings adjusted to only allow searching and alerting SNOWTAMs. Any airline impacted by the FAA Safety Alert can access the tool by three (3) users free of charge through the end of 2021, or up until the FAA can successfully process SNOWTAMs in the new ICAO format.

Airlines interested in the Lite Jeppesen NOTAM Management Tool should contact their Boeing account director for more information.

The Federal Aviation Administration announced in a Safety Alert on Sept. 21, 2021, that they are currently unable to ingest and disseminate international SNOWTAMs issued in the new ICAO SNOWTAM format.

Since Boeing is able to process the new ICAO SNOWTAM format, the alert does not affect current Jeppesen NOTAM customers.
