Flight Training

Virtual Airplane

Train anywhere. Learn faster.

Virtual Airplane is a modular suite of cloud enabled training tools that delivers device agnostic, high fidelity flight deck practice to help pilots develop procedural competence and build proficiency. Virtual Airplane provides short, task based microlearning lessons, centralized authoring and version control, and enterprise distribution so training teams can scale consistent, validated practice across devices and locations.

Key benefits

    Accessible anytime, anywhere

Practice on an iPad, laptop, or desktop with offline lessons that automatically update and sync your progress as soon as you reconnect to the internet. Bite-sized training lessons let crews train in short, effective sessions between duties

  • undefined

    Maximize student engagement and focus

Our 3D flight deck simulations, integrated systems and navigation data, and intuitive lesson flow keep students immersed and focused. Whether it's a fully interactive flight or a simple Control Display Unit (CDU) lesson, pilots stay engaged.

  • undefined

Ensure consistent, up-to-date training delivered instantly

Intuitive authoring tool lets Instructional Systems Designers (ISD) and instructors create, approve, and push validated lessons instantly—so everyone trains from the same, up-to-date procedures.

  • undefined

    Enterprise scale, security and compliance

Microsoft integration supports large deployments and regulatory alignment while ensuring secure and consistent deployments.

  • undefined

    Cost efficient

Move validated procedural practice to devices to reduce full-flight familiarization time, optimize simulator scheduling, and lower total training cost.

Virtual Airplane Procedures Trainer has two instances:

The first practice module being released in 2026 for Virtual Airplane is the Procedures Trainer (VAPT). The procedures trainer delivers Boeing validated procedure lessons (online streaming and a native offline app), interactive Flight Management System (FMS) free play, and an instructor authoring workspace so operators can create, customize, and push consistent lessons—helping pilots shorten simulator familiarization and maintain readiness between checks.

Virtual Airplane Procedure Trainer – Student Experience

Short, high-fidelity flight deck lessons (online and offline), focused practice exercises and full scenarios, real-world airports, and simple session history provide targeted practice.

Virtual Airplane Procedure Trainer - Authoring Tool

Create and manage customized lessons with centralized version control and simple usage data to deploy validated content across the program.

Together these views form a single training system: the student view delivers practice and retention; the Instructor view creates, validates and distributes the lessons to ensure consistency and operational alignment.

Why it helps

Maximize value

Crews arrive for simulator session ready to focus on assessments and scenarios.

Close gaps faster

Prescribe the exact lessons needed to augment pilot knowledge and performance.

Flexible learning

Lessons can begin from multiple phases of flight (pre-flight, climb, take-off, etc.) to provide bespoke student experiences.

Easy rollout

Works on iPad, Windows, and Mac across your organization.

Intuitive design

A user-friendly, mobile-first interface that enhances engagement and supports pilots’ learning preferences.

Why it matters

Operational relevance

Align lessons to Boeing procedures and Jeppesen navigation data for high fidelity.

Train pilots using your lesson plans

Keep content aligned with company SOPs and Boeing Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM).

Rapidly deploy procedural changes

Turn updates into live lessons immediately.

Customizable flight plans

Create unique scenarios that are specific to your operations.

Standardize delivery

Centralized version control to ensure your crew trains from the same approved content.

FAQs

How would the Virtual Airplane Procedures Trainer help my training organization?

add

The Virtual Airplane Procedures Trainer delivers short, high fidelity, device based lessons and interactive FMS free play so pilots can rehearse validated flight deck procedures anytime, online or offline. By focusing on hands on procedural practice, the Procedures Trainer helps training teams develop procedural competence, build proficiency between checks, shorten simulator familiarization, and improve transfer to Flight Training Device/Full Flight Simulator and line operations.
Instructors and ISDs gain a centralized authoring workspace to create, validate, version, and distribute consistent lesson content across the program, plus basic analytics to track usage and completion. Together, these capabilities let programs scale consistent, validated procedural practice across devices and locations while keeping training aligned to operational procedures.

What models can I get now, and what’s coming next?

add

At launch, Virtual Airplane’s first module (the Procedures Trainer, VAPT) supports the 737 8 MAX. Additional airplane models will be rolled out over time as we expand the platform.

Where is Virtual Airplane (VA) offerable (geography)?

add

Virtual Airplane (VA) is intended to be available worldwide but is being rolled out region by region. Today we operate servers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore, which support customers in North America, Western Europe, and Southeast Asia; some countries may still be restricted due to legal, data, or network rules. We’re assessing server capacity and planning additional regional servers; if your organization needs coverage in a specific region, please contact Business Development to register interest.

What devices and offline options are supported?

add

VA-PT runs on iPad (native app), Windows, and Mac clients and also supports online streaming. The native iPad app provides offline lesson downloads and auto sync when reconnected; streaming via the web is available for online access.

How can I engage with Virtual Airplane?

add

Virtual Airplane is planned for commercial launch in 2026. If you’d like to stay informed, complete the form below and we will send webinar invitations, demo announcements, email updates, and opportunities to engage with our team as marketing materials become available closer to launch.
