HAMBURG — Boeing and All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced a new agreement to upgrade the cabin interiors on existing Boeing 787 Dreamliners in ANA’s domestic and international fleet. The deal, announced today at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, covers 21 787-8 and 16 787-9 airplanes.
The retrofit modifications are part of ANA’s ongoing commitment to advancing the passenger experience and comfort by introducing new seats in all classes. Boeing will provide part kits and engineering support to enable the modifications and installation of new cabin furniture.
“Finalizing these interior modification agreements and executing them is critical for ANA’s long-term plan to provide a leading passenger experience,” said Ryosei Nomura, Vice President of Procurement at ANA. “We appreciate Boeing’s ongoing collaboration around 787 interiors to meet our cabin retrofit needs.”
This agreement builds on Boeing’s Digital Services partnership with ANA. Earlier this year at the Singapore Airshow, Boeing and ANA renewed their contract for Boeing Airplane Health Management (AHM) across ANA’s entire 787 Dreamliner fleet and expanded coverage to include the airline’s 777 and 737 fleets. The collaboration also includes plans to deepen strategic cooperation around predictive maintenance to enhance operational efficiency and fleet reliability.
“We are grateful for ANA’s trust and our ongoing partnership as we continue to expand the boundaries of comfort and customization in the 787 cabin,” said Lindsey Douglas, Boeing Vice President of Cabin, Modifications, Maintenance & Digital Services. “By combining an updated and modern cabin with advanced predictive maintenance, ANA is ensuring their airplanes are not only more enjoyable for passengers but also available and delivering passengers a great experience every time they fly.”
