Boeing was one of 13 suppliers to receive a ‘Partner 2 Win’ Supplier Award from BAE Systems.
Boeing Distribution Services, the preferred hardware distributor for BAE Systems, Inc.’s Electronic Systems sector, was named a Supplier of the Year for the exceptional performance and supply chain solutions provided in North America and the United Kingdom.
“We are happy to share that Boeing Distribution Services was selected as the 2022 BAE Distributor of the Year for Electronics Systems for North America and the United Kingdom,” said Chuck Robinson, Boeing Distribution Services sales leader. “We would like to celebrate the success of the many Boeing team members supporting this strategic customer, including the dedicated program teams. … Congratulations to all on a job well done.“
This is the second time Boeing has received this award since taking over the program in 2014, Robinson added. The team’s first win was in 2018.
In addition to providing hardware to BAE, Boeing is responsible for the overall management of the program, including forecasting and planning, procurement activities, and meeting the challenging quality and operational requirements of both the warfighter and commercial customer base, Robinson said. They also partner with C&D Electronics, a small business, to provide the vendor managed inventory service at multiple BAE sites in North America across the Electronics Systems group.
BAE Systems’ Partner 2 Win program is designed to achieve operational excellence and eliminate defects in its supply chain by raising the bar of performance expectations to meet the demand of current and future customers.
As part of the program, BAE Systems meets regularly with its suppliers to transfer best practices to ensure that the components and materials that compose BAE Systems products meet the highest quality standards.
“The contributions of our top suppliers made an invaluable difference,” said Kiran Dubey, vice president of Supply Chain for BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems sector. “They enabled us to design, build, and deliver mission critical products and solutions for our customers around the globe.”
