Boeing announced at MRO Americas its collaboration with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies to distribute the Honeywell Connected Recorder-25 (HCR-25), a 25-hour cockpit voice recorder (CVR) designed to significantly improve incident investigation capabilities. This innovative technology meets the 2024 FAA Reauthorization Act requirements, mandating that all commercial passenger aircraft be equipped with CVRs capable of recording the last 25 hours of flight data.

This marks a pivotal advancement in aviation safety, providing airlines with direct access to critical flight data. By leveraging this information, airlines can implement improved safety recommendations and ensure compliance with international standards, ultimately prioritizing passenger safety.

"At Boeing, our commitment to safety is unwavering, and our global distribution network ensures our customers have immediate access to the latest safety technologies,” said Ritesh Agarwal, senior director, Strategy and Business Development, Boeing Parts & Distribution. “By integrating the Honeywell Connected Recorder-25 into our offerings, we are empowering airlines to make informed decisions that prioritize passenger safety across the globe.”

“Boeing Distribution has been Honeywell’s long-time partner and trusted distributor for over 20 years. I am extremely pleased to expand our partnership to include distribution of the 25-Hour Recorder Product for the Boeing platform air transport market, and I have every confidence in Boeing Distribution’s ability to serve our mutual customers with outstanding support and availability,” said Brandie Maxwell, vice president, Air Transport & Regional Sales Americas Aftermarket, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies.
