Boeing’s 787 Landing Gear Exchange (LGE) program reached a significant milestone with its 100th delivery, underscoring the program’s growing impact on airline operations worldwide.
ANA received the milestone delivery as it completed its 30th 787 landing gear exchange.
Why it matters:
This milestone highlights Boeing’s commitment to providing airlines with critical parts when needed, enhancing fleet uptime and operational stability. By ensuring a reliable and efficient supply chain, Boeing continues to drive measurable value for airline operations worldwide.
Investing in growth:
To meet the growing needs of airline customers as the 787-9 overhaul cycle began late last year, Boeing is also making inventory investments to expand its exchange pool capacity.
“Our commitment to innovation and service excellence remains at the forefront of our mission, and we are dedicated to supporting more customers globally with efficient and reliable solutions that enhance their operational capabilities,” said William Ampofo, senior vice president, Boeing Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain.
Zoom in:
In an industry where efficiency and reliability are paramount, the LGE program offers a future-proof solution that helps airlines maintain operational stability and manage their fleet maintenance needs more effectively.
Airlines who secure a spot in the program are proactively protecting their supply chain, reducing operational risks and ensuring that their fleets are always ready to take off.
The 787 and 737 MAX fleets are in high demand for future pool exchange spots. Boeing also supports LGE for 747-8 and 777.
