Boeing has signed the largest landing gear exchange contract in the company’s history with the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group, announced at the Singapore Airshow. The agreement gives the carrier access to more than 75 fully overhauled and certified landing gear assemblies across the SIA and Scoot fleets. Boeing says the program is designed to optimize gear life and minimize aircraft downtime through flexible overhaul scheduling and rapid parts distribution.

William Ampofo, senior vice president of Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain for Boeing Global Services, emphasized the benefits of combining Boeing’s global inventory and distribution with the carrier’s maintenance planning to reduce downtime and support consistent service. The deal supports fleet readiness across busy networks by shortening maintenance-related aircraft on-ground time and lowering the need for large on-site spares inventories.
