Frequently asked questions
Does Boeing offer aircraft specific (customized) Task Cards?
If desired, operators can choose to have their MSG-3 Task Cards configured to their fleet. For an additional fee, Boeing will develop a configured MSG-3 Task Card manual containing only those tasks/procedures which are applicable to, and effective for, the customer’s aircraft.
Is CPCP included? What do I do with my old CPCP program?
The MSG-3 program contains integrated Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPCP) with Structures and Zonal inspections, thus removing the need for a supplementary CPCP program. Operators transitioning to MSG-3 may therefore retire their previous CPCP program in exchange for the integrated CPCP requirements governed under MSG-3.
Can Boeing assist in transferring aircraft from MSG-2 to MSG-3?
Yes. Boeing offers a transition/bridging service which providing a task-by-task cross reference between the operator’s current program and the newer MSG-3 program.
Are the MSG-3 MPD and Task Cards maintained to the latest MSG/ISC standard?
Yes. Boeing Engineering maintains the MSG-3 deliverables to the latest MSG/ISC standard and are updated on a yearly basis to reflect activities resulting from the Industry Steering Committee (ISC).
