Software Distribution Manager transition to Fleet Link
As of January 2024, Boeing's Software Distribution Manager (SDM) has transitioned to Fleet Link. Fleet Link provides the same core services and hosted e-Enabled capabilities, along with new Public Key Infrastructure capabilities, improved Environmental Impact Statement timelines, and more scalable services to meet your organization’s current and future needs.
What does the change from SDM to Fleet Link mean?
SDM has provided hosted e-Enabling service since 2016. Fleet Link will continue to provide those same capabilities. The primary differences will be an improved user interface, cloud-based services and operational capabilities, and an operational environment controlled from within with a Boeing security environment.
How will the transition from SDM to Fleet Link impact my operations?
The SDM team will work with operators to plan a hassle-free transition to Fleet Link. For a large percentage of SDM users, aircraft connectivity will remain the same and operators will transition seamlessly. Some users will be granted access to new and improved user interfaces that will require minimal training.
