The challenge
Turkish Technic, a key player in airplane maintenance and training, faced challenges in their training processes for Boeing airplanes. The growing fleet, including the Next-Generation 737, 737 MAX, 777, and 787, required efficient training solutions to meet regulatory standards and operational demands. Key challenges included:
- High cost of training material development: With over 100 training manuals required for various courses, maintaining and updating these materials was resource-intensive.
- Inefficiencies in practical training: The need to pull airplanes out of operation for hands-on training increased operational costs and reduced airplane availability.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensuring that training materials were up to date and met the approval standards of the EASA and Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) was an ongoing concern.
- Standardization of training: The diverse experience levels of instructors and trainees led to inconsistencies in training quality.
