Boeing is excited to unveil major updates to its Parts Planning Hub application. Through collaborative forecasting and two-way data sharing with customers, Parts Planning Hub optimizes the demand forecasting process—enabling Boeing to improve part availability and ensure customers have the right parts at the right time. The new updates to the Parts Planning Hub application are designed to make it easier for customers to collaborate while improving supply chain performance visibility.
The updates include:
- Expanded metrics dashboard providing clear visibility to the supply chain improvements Boeing is making
- An improved user interface for simpler navigation and easier data exchange
- Launch of a Help Center feature providing guides and tutorials on how best to take advantage of all the functionality in the application
“We know that airlines and MROs are looking to improve the overall parts planning and purchasing experience. Boeing worked closely with our customers to identify ways to expand the benefits brought by the Parts Planning Hub. We listened, and customers will see that reflected in these updates,” said Mini Desai, vice president, Commercial Spares & Managed Programs, Boeing Global Services.
Within the Parts Planning Hub, Boeing and customers collaborate in a few key ways:
- Sharing demand forecast data to ensure alignment of Boeing support efforts with customer priorities
- Messaging features allow for questions to be asked and answered all within the application for efficient communication
- Boeing prioritizes its supply chain management activities to optimize warehouse stocking plans based on specific customer needs
Accessible through MyBoeingFleet, the comprehensive online platform also provides customers with proactive notifications on part number rolls and lead time changes as well as downloadable reports for quick analysis and informed decision-making.
Since its launch in early 2024, Parts Planning Hub has analyzed over 70,000 part numbers, optimized Boeing bin levels for more than 10,000 part numbers, and added over 700 new part numbers to inventory stocks to better meet customer needs.
