When you’re evaluating aviation maintenance training tools and courseware, it’s important to consider the Boeing advanced training ecosystem, including our Maintenance Synthetic Trainer, offers exceptional performance. Here’s what to look for in your next virtual aviation maintenance training solution and what sets Maintenance Synthetic Trainer apart.

What makes a great aviation maintenance training solution

Hands-on learning for better retention

Practical skill development: Choose a platform that lets students practice essential maintenance skills, not just navigate the software. The training should help learners build confidence in locating components and tackling complex maintenance tasks.
Meaningful and repeatable lessons: Look for tools with advanced 3D graphics and high-fidelity simulations. This allows maintainers to practice routine troubleshooting in a virtual setting, making real-world tasks smoother and safer.
Guided learning: The training should guide students through scenarios, prompt actions, and provide feedback. This keeps learners engaged and enhances their ability to handle real-world situations effectively.

Customization, configuration, and content

Tailored learning experiences: Ensure the content is customizable to fit various learning needs, from short modules to comprehensive courses. This flexibility helps learners progress from basics to advanced topics at their own pace.
Role-based configuration: Set up the system for different user roles—students, instructors, authors, and training managers—to keep everyone focused on what’s relevant to their role.
Organized lesson playlists: Allow instructors to create tailored programs for individual students and use real engineering models for accurate simulations across various aircraft.

User-friendly and interactive interface

Intuitive UI: The interface should be easy to navigate, enhancing the user experience.
Engaging design: An engaging platform built on behavioral psychology and game design principles, featuring large, realistic visual elements for enhanced clarity and user experience.
Future-proofing: Make sure the product can be updated and enhanced to meet evolving needs.
