Boeing Distribution and General Ecology signed a global distribution agreement adding General Ecology’s water filtration cartridges and filtration systems to its distribution portfolio.
Why it matters:
The agreement, announced at MRO Europe, will improve customer access to independently certified, chemical-free water purification solutions across the commercial aviation market through Boeing Distribution’s global logistics, inventory, and 24/7 e-commerce capabilities.
What’s included:
General Ecology’s purification and filtration products are designed to effectively remove a broad range of contaminants, including waterborne disease-causing microorganisms, toxic chemicals, and other particulate matter.
- Qualifying systems exceed U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standards for virus and bacteria removal; select systems meet National Sanitation Foundation lead removal standards.
- General Ecology says its systems are independently certified to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and World Health Organization microbiological standards for drinking water purifiers.
- The company conducts daily testing to check performance and address emerging contaminants and requirements.
What they’re saying:
- “Boeing Distribution’s integrated logistics capabilities help connect customers with products through a broad, responsive supply chain. This agreement extends that reach to General Ecology’s water filtration systems,” said Mini Desai, Vice President and General Manager, Boeing Distribution.
- “General Ecology’s Structured Matrix cartridge technology reliably removes microbiological, organic chemical and aesthetic contaminants without chemicals or electricity,” said Joseph Gallo, Vice President, Sales & Product Development at General Ecology. “This partnership lets us broaden access to certified purification systems globally.”
