Boeing Distribution and Spectrolab, a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, are working together to expand access to Spectrolab’s market-leading high-intensity airborne searchlights, and related illumination solutions. The Spectrolab products will soon be available through Boeing’s global supply chain and localized support network, including on the shop.boeing.com/distribution website.

At the VERTICON 2026 exhibition, Spectrolab is also showcasing the Nightsun® SXP-10, a new high-intensity searchlight system featuring an aerodynamic spherical design, dual-mode illumination (visible and infrared), instant start lamp ignition and an output equivalent to 1000 Watts, delivering enhanced capability for search, rescue and other demanding missions.

“We are focusing our efforts to find ways to strengthen our rotorcraft offerings and enhance mission readiness for operators across the Americas,” said Sheena Mitchell, Sr. Director, Distribution Programs. “By adding Spectrolab’s proven illumination systems to our rotorcraft lighting catalog, we can offer customers reliable access to high-performance products backed by Boeing’s global logistics and localized support.”

“For more than five decades Spectrolab has been delivering high-intensity illumination solutions to the aerospace market,” said Luis Castro, director of business development, Spectrolab. “Our partnership with Boeing Distribution expands our reach and ensures operators and OEMs have timely access to our products.”

Why this partnership matters

Expanded access: Boeing Distribution’s global network and 24/7 e-commerce platform (shop.boeing.com/distribution) will make Spectrolab’s illumination products more readily available to rotorcraft operators, OEMs and maintenance organizations.

Proven performance: Spectrolab systems support more than 90% of the global market for high-intensity airborne searchlights and are deployed across major platform types.

Enhanced mission capability: The Nightsun® SXP-10 provides aerodynamic design, dual visible/IR modes and instant start capability to support search and rescue, law enforcement, offshore operations and other mission-critical tasks.

Aftermarket support: Boeing Distribution’s integrated supply chain capabilities and inventory depth reduce lead times, cost and complexity for customers requiring both production and aftermarket parts and services.

Boeing’s diverse and expansive portfolio includes more than 18 million parts, chemicals, services and integrated solutions that reduce cost, risk and complexity through a global network with localized, agile support. Boeing supports defense, commercial, rotorcraft and business and general aviation customers with production and aftermarket needs and provides 24/7 e-commerce access via shop.boeing.com/distribution.
